Economic Equity
OUR WORK
En2Action’s Economic Equity initiatives are designed to break down barriers and create new pathways for Black and BIPOC entrepreneurs, food makers, and small businesses in San Francisco. Through innovative programs, collaborative spaces, and direct support, we foster economic mobility, business growth, and community resilience.

The Food Pavilion
The Food Pavilion at India Basin is a vibrant hub for culinary innovation, entrepreneurship, and community connection. Here, underrepresented food entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses through pop-ups, catering, and market activations. The Pavilion offers a dynamic space for weekend culinary events, free community classes, and expert-led workshops—empowering local chefs and food makers to reach new audiences and build sustainable ventures.
Our dedicated Food & Beverage Team provides hands-on support and technical assistance, averaging over 130 hours per month, to ensure every entrepreneur has the guidance they need to succeed. Whether you’re a chef, vendor, or community-based organization, the Food Pavilion is your launchpad for economic opportunity and creative collaboration.
Pop-Ups & Catering
Ujamaa Kitchen is En2Action’s cornerstone food business accelerator, rooted in the principle of cooperative economics. We provide Black and BIPOC food entrepreneurs with access to a collaborative commercial kitchen, business development workshops, and vital technical assistance—including permitting, licensing, and marketing support.
Through our pop-up and catering programs, Ujamaa Kitchen chefs showcase their culinary talents at the Food Pavilion, community events, and citywide markets. These opportunities help emerging entrepreneurs build their brands, generate revenue, and connect with customers across San Francisco. Our alumni have gone on to launch successful catering businesses, secure retail partnerships, and serve as role models for the next generation of food leaders.

Vendor Grant Opportunities
En2Action is committed to lowering barriers for small businesses and vendors through targeted grant opportunities. Our Vendor Grant programs provide direct funding, technical support, and access to high-visibility sales opportunities at events like the Food Pavilion, Bayview Bistro, and citywide festivals.
These grants help entrepreneurs cover critical costs—such as permitting, equipment, and marketing—so they can focus on growth and innovation. By investing in local talent and removing financial obstacles, we help build a thriving, inclusive marketplace where diverse businesses can flourish.
