A history built on action!

En2Action was built on the belief that people have the power to shape their own future—they just need the tools and resources to do so. Our story is about creating that reality for the people of Bayview-Hunters Point and beyond. That’s why we work in partnership with Black and BIPOC residents to build economic power through food entrepreneurship, celebrate and protect our cultural heritage, and ensure our community has a decisive voice in the policies that affect our lives and environment.

This partnership has translated into tangible impact. Since 2019, we've helped launch over 50 Black-owned businesses, engaged more than 5,000 community members, and provided over 1,000 food boxes to our neighbors in need. Ultimately, we’re building a future of long-term community wealth, resilience, and self-determination.

Three core values guide our work:

People matter, communities need to be heard, and collaboration requires openness and transparency.

  • People Matter

We believe every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our Ujamaa Kitchen program has trained and launched over 40 Black and BIPOC food entrepreneurs, providing them with business incubation, technical assistance, and pop-up opportunities at the Food Pavilion at India Basin. These efforts break down barriers and create new economic pathways.

  • Voices Count

We ensure that community voices directly inform local policy and planning. Through town halls and listening sessions—like those for the African American Arts & Cultural District—we’ve engaged over 500 residents, artists, and businesses to shape strategic frameworks for cultural preservation and economic vitality.

  • Stronger Together

Our impact is amplified through deep partnerships with local businesses, cultural institutions, government agencies, and grassroots organizations. From working with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District on environmental justice to partnering with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency on equity-based public safety, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.
